Summer Musicianship Program

SUMMER MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES FOR
YOUNG MUSICIANS

These classes are for young instrumentalists (strings, piano and winds) and singers who want to expand their knowledge and prepare for confident reading and performing. Instrumentalists should be playing at the level of Suzuki Book I or II and fall with in the age specifications for the group. Singers who wish to participate must meet with the instructor for a fifteen minute assessment prior to the first week of class. Minimum number for the class is 6 and maximum is 9. Classes will meet at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park (the Dole Mansion) on Tuesday and Thursday morning beginning on June 12 and concluding on July 26. There will be NO classes the first full week of July.

MUSICIANSHIP GROUP A: ages 7, 8, & 9                  Class will meet Tues. & Thurs.  from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m.

MUSICIANSHIP GROUP B: ages 10, 11 & 12            Class will meet Tues. & Thurs. from 11:00 – 11:50 a.m.

Fee: The fee for the 12 classes will be $72.00 payable before the first class. Students will be provided with a workbook to take home. Cost of the workbook is $9.00. Please pay for the workbook at the time of registration.

The McHenry County Music Center has financial assistance available to students who qualify for assistance with their music activities. If you or your child needs assistance to participate please request information about how to apply.
